Mussa Molo, the sound of afro-beat

I was walking along the Garonne river in Bordeaux, when I bumped into a show which took place that exciting summer night. The concert was starring by Mussa Molo, an eclectic afro-beat band inspired by the Peul musical repertoire of Fouladou (Casamance). One of the most distinctive features from the band is the combination of different African instruments such as the balafon, the ngoni, the nianérou (Peul violin), the djembe as well as those of amplified stage instruments (bass, guitars, drums). Certainly, I ended up fascinated with their electrifying rhythms full of joy and good vibes.
